BET NAMES RISING RAPPER LADY LONDON AS THE
‘BET AMPLIFIED’ ARTIST FOR JANUARY 2024

New York, NY January 09, 2023 – BET Music kicks off 2024 announcing rapper, songwriter, and actress Lady London as the BET Amplified artist for January. BET Amplified is BET Music's stamp of approval for the next big thing in music. Fresh off of a fiery performance during the “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023 cypher back in October, BET is proud to ring in the new year amplifying this multi-talented Def Jam recording artist.

Whether it's her viral freestyles or racking up millions of views on her recent song “Yea Yea” with Dreezy, Lady London’s rise to stardom shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. From her humble beginnings developing a deep love for poetry (and performing) during her time at Howard University, it’s no surprise that some are calling the NY-raised rapper one of the best storytellers in the music industry today. 

Lady London’s career took off in 2018 after she posted her “Viral” freestyle on Facebook, blowing up organically with over 8.7 million views to date. You can listen to her latest LP S.O.UL. About Lady London
Born to Caribbean parents and raised in The Bronx and East Orange, NJ, she obsessed over hip-hop and R&B since her childhood. After achieving a BS from Howard University and a Master’s degree from USC, she flipped the script, opting to forego medical school in order to follow her passion for music. She built an audience by posting viral videos of her poetry, paving the way for her show-stopping freestyle series “Lady Londays.” Attracting a burgeoning following of over a million on Instagram, her lyrical acumen has incited the applause of Busta Rhymes, Cardi B, Lupe Fiasco, Timbaland, and Nas, to name a few.
