New York, NY, August 5, 2024 – BET Music and Nissan are teaming up to shine a spotlight on rising Black stars in the music world, and this month they are highlighting multi-hyphenate rapper and producer Cash Cobain. Fresh off of an electrifying debut performance on the “BET Awards” 2024 Red Carpet Live Pre-Show during Culture’s Biggest Night, Cash Cobain now takes the ‘BET Amplified’ Artist of the Month crown this August. 

From chart-topping singles to electric live performances, Cash Cobain is riding high this summer. His latest bangers, including “Fisherrr” featuring Ice Spice and “Grippy” with J.Cole, have taken over streaming charts, amassing millions of streams (over 52M collectively) and fueling his reputation as a trendsetter. His Billboard Hot 100 debut with Don Toliver's “Attitude” featuring Charlie Wilson showcases his undeniable impact.

Cash Cobain's innovative sound isn't just captivating the NYC drill seen he’s helped revolutionize, he’s also crossed the pond with influential UK tracks like Central Cee's “Daily Duppy” and has earned co-signs from global superstars like Lil Uzi Vert and Frank Ocean. Leading up to his highly-anticipated summer LP Play Cash Cobain, Billboard Rookie of the Month and 2024 XXL Freshman Cash Cobain is a multi-hyphenate rapper and producer known as the originator of "sample drill", a sound that has transformed the identity of the genre in NYC by introducing 90s R&B, 2000s pop, and even gospel through his impeccable ear for chopping up recognizable samples and placing them over bouncy production.
