BET’s “Loudmouth” Earns News & Documentary Emmy Nomination 

 

Nominations for The 45th Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards were announced today by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). “Loudmouth” a documentary exploring Reverend Al Sharpton’s storied and sometimes controversial legacy, earned its first Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Current Affairs Documentary

 

“Loudmouth,” produced by John Legend’s Get Lifted Film Co., chronicles the leader’s life, mission, and storied tenure in the movement for social justice.

 

This is BET’s First Emmy Nomination for News & Documentary, and BET’s second Emmy Nomination this season with “The Ms. Pat Show” earning a Primetime Emmy-nomination for its fourth season. 

 

The awards will be presented in two ceremonies: 

 

  • News Categories – Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. EDT 
  • Documentary Categories – Thursday, September 26th, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. EDT
