- Phillip Mullings Jr.
PHILLIP MULLINGS JR. is an actor-filmmaker from Orlando, FL. He was born to Carla and Phillip Mullings Sr, October 6, 1993, in El Paso, TX. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida’s College of Business (2015) and earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from Full Sail University (2017). Being a child of the military, he spent most of his adolescence traveling around the United States before ultimately landing in Tampa, FL in 2008 at the age of fourteen. He began his career as a performer while attending the University of Central Florida in 2014. In between classes he would attend acting workshops, coaching lessons, and training. Upon graduating with his Graduate Degree in 2017, he relocated to Atlanta, GA to pursue his acting career fully. As an African American filmmaker, Phillip’s goal is to use his films to showcase underrepresented stories. As a graduate student at Full Sail University, he earned the Course Director Award in both Directing Talent and Script Production and Analysis. He co-wrote Wake Up, which was one of five films selected from 140 entries to be screened at Cannes Film Festival in 2016. Phillip identifies his experience in front of the camera as a unique advantage behind the scenes. Some of Phillip’s recent credits include BET’s American Soul, OWN’s David Makes Man, and NCIS New Orleans. His upcoming work includes Guest Star recurring in TBS’ Chad shooting in January 2020.
