Brandon Scott Jones is a writer and actor who played another dead person, John Wheaton, for two seasons on the hit NBC comedy series “The Good Place.” Also, he is a co-producer, writer and actor on the critically acclaimed series “The Other Two,” on HBO Max. Currently, he is penning the feature film “Senior Year” for Paramount which will be released in 2022. Jones also starred in the Warner Bros. feature film “Isn’t it Romantic,” opposite Rebel Wilson, and the Oscar-nominated film “Can You Ever Forgive Me?”
Jones is originally from Bel Air, Maryland where he grew up with his father, Rick, a German teacher, his mother, Patti, and his sister, Amanda. Now he has a niece and a nephew, and they are both so cute he can hardly stand it. As a kid, Jones dreamed of becoming a professional tennis player and was a competitive USTA junior player. However, pragmatic minds prevailed and instead he entered the stable career of showbiz. He still plays and is always looking for a hit. He’s also an enormous tennis fan and will talk about it to anyone who will pretend to listen.
Currently, he lives in both Los Angeles and Brooklyn. His birthday is June 6. He can be followed on Twitter @BrandonSJ and on Instagram @BrandonScottJones.
