SCOTT BAILEY
(Sandy Foster in GUIDING LIGHT)

Scott Bailey made his debut in GUIDING LIGHT in August 2003 in the role of Sandy Foster. Originally from Florissant, Mo., Bailey has also lived in Mt. Vernon, Ill.; Augsburg, Germany; Albuquerque, NM; and Los Angeles. After earning a degree in mechanical engineering from New Mexico State University, Bailey worked as a mechanical engineer for the Department of Energy. While studying for his doctorate degree at UCLA, Bailey decided to postpone his studies in order to pursue acting. Bailey worked at Universal Studios as the star of the live action shows "Terminator 2: 3D" and "Spiderman." On television, Bailey appeared in "Walker, Texas Ranger," on CBS, "Chicken Soup for the Soul," "MTV's 'Undressed,'" and the movie "Just Ask My Children." Bailey resides in New York City, and his birth date is Dec. 16.

ROBERT BOGUE
(A. C. Mallet in GUIDING LIGHT)

Robert Bogue joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT as A. C. Mallet in April 2005. A newcomer to daytime, Bogue's primetime credits include "Whoopi," "The Education of Max Bickford" on CBS, "Sex and the City" and "The Sopranos." His feature film credits include "In the Weeds," "Rattler," "Bobbing for Apples" and the upcoming "5up 2down." Bogue was born in Minden, Neb. and graduated from Colorado College with academic honors in international political economics. A founding member of the New Group Theater Company, Bogue started his acting career in the theater in New York City. Bogue lives in rural Pennsylvania with his wife, Anouk Dirkse, and their son, Zebulon Jeremiah, and daughter, Zoë Chinook.

MANDY BRUNO (Marina Cooper in GUIDING LIGHT)

Mandy Bruno assumed the role of Marina Cooper in GUIDING LIGHT on May 12, 2004. A recent graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio, Bruno has appeared on stage in regional productions including "Anne of Green Gables," "Little Shop of Horrors," "Tommy" and "The Secret Garden." She was born on Sept. 20, and grew up in Beaverton, Ore.

BETH CHAMBERLIN
(Beth Raines in GUIDING LIGHT)

Beth Chamberlin returned to the role of Beth Raines in GUIDING LIGHT in November 1997, having previously portrayed the character from 1989 to 1991. She has starred in the films "The Right Way" and "Best Shots" and has had guest-starring roles in the television series "Columbo" and "Silk Stalkings" and in the daytime drama "Days of Our Lives." She has also appeared in regional productions of "The Taming of the Shrew," "Godspell," "Flowers for Algernon" and "You Can't Take It with You." Chamberlin grew up in Danville, Vt. She studied with the American Ballet Theater and attended New York University as a dance and theater major. She and her husband live in New York. Her birth date is Oct. 1.

CRYSTAL CHAPPELL
(Olivia Spencer Lewis in GUIDING LIGHT)

Winner of the 2002 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actress, Crystal Chappell joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in July 1999. Crystal received a nomination in 2005 for Outstanding Supporting Actress. She has guest-starred in various primetime series, including "Walker, Texas Ranger," "Burke's Law" and "Diagnosis Murder," all on CBS. She also starred in the feature films "Lady in Waiting" and "Bigfoot: The Unforgettable Encounter." Chappell was graduated from the University of South Carolina, where she studied journalism before moving to New York to pursue an acting career. Born in Silver Springs, Md., she lives in New Jersey with her husband, actor Michael Sabatino, and their sons, Jacob Walker and Dylan Michael. Her birth date is Aug. 4.

JORDAN CLARKE
(Billy Lewis in GUIDING LIGHT)

Jordan Clarke played the role of Billy Lewis from 1982 to 1987, than returned from 1989 to 1994 and again in 1996. Clarke has appeared in the primetime series "Three's Company," "Knight Rider," "Fantasy Island," "Law & Order" and, on CBS, "The Tony Randall Show" and "MAS*H." His additional television credits include featured roles in the mini-series "The Executioner's Song" and "Testimony of Two Men" and the movies "Charleston" and "Forever." He has been active in regional theater with the Ithaca Repertory Theatre, the Olney Theatre and Long Wharf Theatre. He was a co-founder of the Off Broadway Shaliko Public Theatre, where he appeared in "Shadow of a Gunman" and "Children of the Gods." He writes fiction, poetry and film scripts and has been involved in such diverse businesses as running a construction company and raising purebred quarter horses. Born in Rochester, N.Y., Clarke was graduated from Cornell University, with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a master of fine arts degree in acting. Clarke's birth date is July 21.

BRADLEY COLE
(Jeffrey O'Neill in GUIDING LIGHT)

Bradley Cole returned to the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in May 2003, taking on the new role of District Attorney Jeffrey O'Neill. Previously, Cole was known to viewers of GUIDING LIGHT as the charismatic Prince Richard Winslow, a role that earned him a Soap Opera Digest Award nomination in 2000 for Best New Character. Cole attended Pepperdine University, where he played baseball until an injury put an end to his dreams of playing professionally. He then turned to a career in acting. A veteran of both films and television in Europe, Cole appeared in the European serial drama "Riviera." His television credits include the movies "Jewels" and "The Sun Also Rises." His feature film credits include "Sweet Revenge," "Touch and Die" and "5 Days in June." His theater credits include "Killer Joe" at the Frankfurt English Theater and "Lone Star" and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" at Gallerie 55, the Paris English theater. Born in Southern California, he lives in New York City. His birth date is Feb. 11.

DANIEL COSGROVE

Daniel Cosgrove joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in June 2002 in the role of Bill Lewis. He appeared in the daytime drama "All My Children" and the primetime series "Beverly Hills, 90210," as well as the television movies "When the Music Stops" and "Satan's School for Girls." His feature film credits include "Valentine," "Object of My Affection" and "Van Wilder: Party Liaison." Born in New Jersey, Cosgrove lives in New York with his wife, Marie, and their three children. His birth date is Dec. 16.

JUSTIN DEAS
(Frank "Buzz" Cooper, Sr. in GUIDING LIGHT)

Justin Deas joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in January 1993. In 1997, he won his record-setting sixth Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor. He was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2005. His television credits also include the primetime series "Foley Square," on CBS, and two daytime dramas, "Santa Barbara," which earned him two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor, and CBS's "As the World Turns," which earned him a Daytime Emmy Award in 1985 for Outstanding Lead Actor. He also appeared in the feature film "Dream Lover." As a member of the Asolo Repertory Company, Deas has appeared in numerous regional theater productions throughout the country. He also starred in several Shakespeare productions, including "Romeo and Juliet" at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, and he starred in an Off Broadway production of "Fool for Love." Deas studied theater at Juilliard and earned a bachelor of arts degree in theater arts from the College of William and Mary. He is married to actress Margaret Colin, and they live in his native New York. His birth date is March 30.

Frank Dicopoulos joined GUIDING LIGHT in September 1987. His television credits include the primetime series "Falcon Crest," on CBS, "The Tracey Ullman Show," "Silver Spoons," "O'Hara," "Hotel" and "Dynasty" and the daytime dramas "The Young and the Restless" and "Capitol," both on the Network, as well as "General Hospital." Dicopoulos is a spokesperson for the Melanoma Initiative, an organization that seeks to heighten public awareness of the dangers of melanoma. He is a graduate of Kenyon College. Born in Akron, Ohio, he lives in New York with his wife and their two children. His birth date is Jan. 3.

(Henry "Coop" Bradshaw in GUIDING LIGHT)

John Driscoll joined GUIDING LIGHT on Aug. 8, 2004, in the role of Buzz's son, Coop. Driscoll attended George Mason University, where he appeared in productions of "The Odd Couple," "The Vagina Monologues" and "Dangerous Liaisons." Driscoll's television credits include appearances on "One Tree Hill," "Dawson's Creek" and "Young Americans." He has been involved with SOME (So Others May Eat), Meals on Wheels and Ronald McDonald House charities. Born on June 27 in Woodbridge, Va., Driscoll lives in Manhattan.

MARJ DUSAY
(Alexandra Spaulding in GUIDING LIGHT)

Marj Dusay rejoined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in December 2002 in the role of Alexandra Spaulding, which she previously portrayed from September 1993 to March 1997, receiving a 1995 Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Actress. Dusay was a member of the groundbreaking improvisational comedy group the Session with Richard Dreyfuss and Rob Reiner. She performed on "The Steve Allen Summer Comedy Show" and appeared with the group on Johnny Carson's show and other talk programs. Dusay had leading roles in the daytime dramas "Santa Barbara" (1987-88) and, on CBS, "Capitol" (1983-86), as well as in the primetime series "Sons and Daughters," on the Network, "Studio 5B" (with GUIDING LIGHT co-star Justin Deas), "The Facts of Life," "Bret Maverick" and "Cliffhangers." She has guest-starred over 150 times in other series, including "WKRP in Cincinnati," "In the Heat of the Night," "Murder, She Wrote" and "Dallas," all on the Network, and "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Perfect Strangers," "Mancuso, FBI" and "Star Trek." She also starred in the mini-series "Daughters of Privilege," "Wheels" and "Fire in the Sky," and in the feature films "MacArthur," "Breezy," "Made in Heaven," "Sweet November," "Love Walked In" and "Peace in the Family," among others. Dusay is the mother of actress Deborah Marj Blocker and the late Randall Marj, and the grandmother of Deena Randall. Born in Russell, Kan., Dusay lives in New York City. Her birth date is Feb. 20.

BETH EHLERS
(Harley Cooper in GUIDING LIGHT)

The recipient of four Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including one for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2002, Beth Ehlers initially joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in September 1987, left in 1993 and rejoined in May 1997. She and Grant Aleksander received an award from Soap Opera Digest in 1998 as Best New Couple. During her hiatus from the show, Ehlers worked in Los Angeles as a production assistant on commercials and music videos. Her feature film credits include "The Hunger" and "Hiding Out." Her television movie appearances include "Family Reunion" with Bette Davis, "In Defense of Kids," "Mother, May I?" and, on CBS, "Mystery on Fire Island." She was a series regular in "The Best Times." Ehlers was born in Queens, N.Y., and raised on Roosevelt Island, N.Y. She lives with her family in New Jersey. Her birth date is July 23.

MAUREEN GARRETT
(Holly Lindsey Reade in GUIDING LIGHT)

Maureen Garrett has received three Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her role in GUIDING LIGHT. She rejoined the daytime drama in March 1989, reprising the role of Holly, which she had played from 1976 to 1981. She has also appeared in the daytime drama "Ryan's Hope" and has worked extensively in regional theater and appeared in numerous repertory and stock productions. Born in Rocky Point, N.C., Garrett grew up in various parts of the United States and Europe. She studied at the Universität München in Germany and at Temple and Villanova Universities. She lives in New York. Her birth date is Aug. 18.

Stephanie Gatschet joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in July 2002 in the role of Tammy Winslow. Gatschet was a student at New York University when she won the role. Her previous television credits include "Law & Order," "Cabinet of Spells" and, on CBS, the daytime drama "As the World Turns." Her feature film credits include "Roger Dodger" and "Revolution #9." She was raised in Philadelphia. Her birth date is March 16.

Ricky Paull Goldin received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in 2003 for his performance in GUIDING LIGHT. He appeared in the daytime dramas "Another World" and, on CBS, "The Young and the Restless" before joining the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in March 2001. Goldin was the host and executive producer of the dating game show "Street Match." His additional television credits include "Kate & Allie," on CBS, "V.I.P.," "21 Jump Street," "MacGyver," "ALF," "Hail to the Chief," "She's Leaving Home," "Talk to Me" and "The Face." He appeared in the feature films "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion," "Lambada," "Pastime," "Mirror, Mirror," "The Blob" and "Hyper-Sapien." On Broadway, Goldin starred as Danny Zuko in the revival of "Grease" in 1993 and also appeared in "On Golden Pond." He starred in Off Broadway productions of "The Pirates of Penzance," "Welcome to My Life," "The Nest of the Wood Grouse" and "Feathered Serpent." He was born in San Francisco. His birth date is Jan. 5.

CRYSTAL HUNT

Crystal Hunt joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in February 2003 in the role of Lizzie Spaulding and was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actress in 2005. She began her career as a pageant contestant at the age of 6 months. She appeared in the feature films "From Earth to the Moon," "Problem Child II" and "Homeless Children." Hunt has also appeared in many commercials, including one for Disney World's 25th anniversary celebration and an anti-drug advertisement with 'N Sync. She grew up in Clearwater, Fla. ELIZABETH KEIFER
(Blake Marler in GUIDING LIGHT)

Elizabeth Keifer joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in August 1992. She has had leading roles in the daytime dramas "The Young and the Restless," on CBS, "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital." Her numerous primetime television credits include "Cheers," "Married...with Children," "The Facts of Life" and "Full House," and the movies "Dallas: The Early Years," on the Network, and "Thursday's Child." Born in Santa Monica, Keifer was raised in Pacific Palisades, Calif., and studied acting at the Academy of Stage and Cinema Arts in Los Angeles. She lives in New York with her husband, son and daughter. Her birth date is Nov. 14.

David Andrew Macdonald joined GUIDING LIGHT in June 1999. His television credits include the series "Sex and the City" and "Law & Order" and the movies "The Deception," on CBS, and "Paramour." He has also appeared in the daytime dramas "Loving" and "One Life to Live." On stage, Macdonald starred in the Broadway production of "Two Shakespearean Actors" and appeared in the national tour of "An Inspector Calls" and numerous regional theater productions, including "The Green Heart," "Night and Her Stars," "I Hate Hamlet," "A Christmas Carol," "The Importance of Being Earnest," "The Comedy of Errors," "Henry IV, Part One," "Arms and the Man," "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?," "Titus Andronicus," "Love's Labour's Lost" and "Othello." While attending Juilliard, Macdonald appeared on stage in "Happy End," "The Cherry Orchard," "Press Cuttings," "Overruled" and "The Seagull." Robert Newman was nominated in 2002 and 2004 for a Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Lead Actor for his portrayal of Josh Lewis in GUIDING LIGHT, a role he originated in October 1981 and has played for most of the time since then. He also appeared in the daytime dramas "General Hospital" and "Santa Barbara." Newman worked extensively in Los Angeles theater, playing leading roles in "The Robber Bridegroom," "Veronica's Room," "Medea" and "The Rainmaker." He appeared Off Broadway in "Quiet on the Set." Born in Los Angeles, Newman received a degree in theater from California State University at Northridge. Michael O'Leary returned to GUIDING LIGHT in March 1995 for his third stint as Dr. Rick Bauer. He previously played the role from 1983 to 1986 and from 1987 to 1991. His additional television credits include the recurring role of Dr. Stewart Farmingham in "Doogie Howser, M.D." Among his stage credits are regional productions of "Tea and Sympathy," "Auntie Mame" and "Scars," which he co-wrote. O'Leary was born in St. Paul, Minn., and lives in New Jersey with his wife and two daughters. His birth date is March 27.

TOM PELPHREY
(Jonathan Randall in GUIDING LIGHT)

Tom Pelphrey joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in June 2004 as the newly minted trouble maker JB, who turned out to be Reva's long-lost son, Jonathan Randall. Pelphrey received his first Daytime Emmy nomination in 2005, in the Outstanding Younger Actor category. Pelphrey recently graduated with a bachelor's of fine arts degree in acting from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers. There he appeared in several plays, including "Two Gentlemen of Verona," "Bus Stop" and "Pursuit and Perception." Pelphrey also performed in "Taming of the Shrew" and "Richard III" at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London. In addition to his theater work, he has also appeared in several small films. Pelphrey grew up in Howell, N.J., and lives in Hoboken, N.J. His birth date is July 28.

RON RAINES
(Alan Spaulding in GUIDING LIGHT)

Ron Raines, who is known to theater audiences around the country, joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in July 1994. He received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2003 and 2004. His extensive stage credits include "Chicago," "Show Boat" and "Teddy and Alice" on Broadway, and the national touring companies of "Colette" and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" (with Debbie Reynolds). He has played leading roles in virtually every major American musical and operetta, and was nominated by the Detroit Free Press as Best Actor for his performance in "Follies." Raines was born in Texas City, Texas, and received degrees from Oklahoma City University and Juilliard. He lives in New York with his wife, stage director Dona Vaughn, and their daughter. His birth date is Dec. 2.

NANCY ST. ALBAN
(Michelle Bauer Santos in GUIDING LIGHT)

Prior to joining the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in October 2000, Nancy St. Alban appeared in over 30 commercials and in the Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation "Durango," on CBS. She also appeared in the feature film "Some Fish Could Fly." Her theater credits include "Verona Wall," "Chicago," "Kiss Me Kate" and "Crimes of the Heart." Born in Baltimore, St. Alban attended the Baltimore Actors' Theatre Conservatory, a small private high school for the arts. She graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor of fine arts degree in musical theater. St. Alban lives in Westchester County, N.Y., with her husband and two daughters. PAUL ANTHONY STEWART
(Danny Santos in GUIDING LIGHT)

Paul Anthony Stewart, who made his GUIDING LIGHT debut in November 1998, received a 2003 Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor. He had starring roles in the television movie "The Inheritance," on CBS, and the daytime drama "Loving," and guest-starred in the series "The Hunger," "Dream On" and "First Time Out." His feature film credits include Woody Allen's "Shadows and Fog" and the independent feature "Somewhere in the City." Among his theater credits are "Cyrano" on Broadway and the Off Broadway productions of "White Water," "Risorgimento," "Children of Eden," "Until Day Breaks," "Playing with Fire" and "Rivalry of Dolls." Stewart attended Princeton University where he majored in dramatic literature and drama, minored in theater and starred in productions of "Cloud Nine," "The Day Room," "Cymbeline" and "Bent and Fanshen." While in college, Stewart also starred in summer stock and regional theater, including "Children of Eden," "How It Was Done in Odessa," "Dancing with Miracles," "Hair" and "The Most Happy Fella." He was born in Philadelphia. His birth date is Feb. 23.

GINA TOGNONI
(Dinah Marler in GUIDING LIGHT)

Gina Tognoni assumed the role of Dinah Marler in July 2004. The character was last seen leaving Springfield after the shooting of Hart Jessup in 1998. After playing the role of Kelly Cramer for six years in "One Life to Live," Tognoni is no stranger to daytime television. Soap Opera Digest and Daytime TV Magazine named her Best Younger Actress in 1996 and 1997. Her additional television credits include "This Time Around," "Fastlane" and "Phenomenon." Tognoni was discovered while participating in the Miss Teen USA pageant. She was born in St. Louis. Her birth date is Nov. 28.

JERRY verDORN
(Ross Marler in GUIDING LIGHT)

Jerry verDorn joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in March 1979, playing attorney Ross Marler, a role for which he has been nominated five times for a Daytime Emmy Award. He won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1995 and 1996. His first big break was in a Rutgers University production of "Are You Now or Have You Ever Been?," which moved to the Off Broadway Promenade Theater and eventually reached Broadway. At the same time, he played the lead in matinee performances of Shaw's "Man and Superman" at Circle in the Square. VerDorn was born in Sioux Falls, S.D., and grew up in various parts of North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. He attended Moorhead State University in Minnesota and spent a year studying at London's Studio 68, an acting academy founded by Sean Connery. VerDorn lives in New Jersey with his wife and their two sons. His birth date is Nov. 23.

LAURA WRIGHT

Laura Wright, who joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in June 1997, was awarded a 1998 Soap Opera Award from Soap Opera Digest for Outstanding Newcomer. She previously starred in the daytime drama "Loving" for four years, and played the same character in its spinoff, "The City." In high school, Wright performed in productions of "Gypsy," "Our Town" and "You Can't Take It with You" and directed "Father Says No." She also appeared in local commercials. She was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Clinton, Md. Wright lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two children. Her birth date is Sept. 11.

KIM ZIMMER
(Reva Shayne Lewis in GUIDING LIGHT)

Kim Zimmer joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT in November 1983 in the role of Reva, for which she has won three Daytime Emmy Awards (1985, 1987, 1990) and a Soap Opera Award from Soap Opera Digest. She has also received four other Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress, most recently in 2005. She left GUIDING LIGHT in 1990 and returned in 1995. Zimmer has also appeared in the daytime dramas "One Life to Live," "Santa Barbara" and "The Doctors." She had a recurring role in "Models, Inc." and guest-starring roles in "Seinfeld" and "University Hospital," and was featured in the television movies "Hell Hath No Fury" and, on CBS, "The Disappearance of Vonnie." Zimmer was born in Grand Rapids, Mich. She and her husband, actor-director A. C. Weary, have three children and live in New Jersey. Her birth date is Feb. 2.
