Whitney Ridder is a beautiful young woman who seems to have everything anyone could want: She owns a successful resort investment business, she is well-liked by all who know her, and she has recently become engaged to a wealthy young man. But when the team begins to investigate her disappearance, they discover that she's a con artist using a false identity with a connection to a man named Lucas Vohland who served a 10-year prison term for manslaughter and to whom she may also owe a large sum of money. Meanwhile, Samantha is ordered to see a therapist to deal with her recent on-the-job difficulties.

After Natasha Tzetcovich goes missing, the team discovers that she was having panic attacks from the pressure she felt from her immigrant parents to perform. They also learn that she was involved with the son of her manager, a troubled boy who was supplying her with drugs, who also disappeared at the same time as Natasha. Another suspect is a strange man that her parents may have known from the old country who has been stalking the girl and sending e-mails from every city in which she has played in the last year.
