VALERIE BERTINELLI AND JEFFREY NORDLING STAR IN "PERSONALLY YOURS," A TELEVISION MOVIE, INSPIRED BY ACTUAL EVENTS, TO BE REBROADCAST SUNDAY, AUG. 8 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK
PERSONALLY YOURS, a television movie starring Valerie Bertinelli ("One Day at a Time') and Jeffrey Nordling ("Once and Again"), will be rebroadcast as the "CBS Sunday Movie," Sunday, Aug. 8 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The film, inspired by actual events, is a charming, romantic tale about a couple who separate to pursue different dreams but find themselves drawn back into each other's arms through the clever plan of their three children. (Originally broadcast 10/8/00)
Susannah (Bertinelli) and Jesse (Nordling) Stanton were wildly in love and devoted to pursuing Jesse's lifelong dream of building a tourist ranch deep in the Alaskan countryside. But the tiring demands of developing the ranch took a toll on their once blissful marriage and they divorced. Susannah, craving a more urban setting, moved to Anchorage and opened a successful restaurant, while Jesse continued to work on the ranch.
Several years later, Susannah is dating and the children sense their dad may be lonely. So, unbeknownst to him, they send a personal ad on his behalf to Alaska Love magazine -- which lands him on the cover as "Bachelor of the Year." As hundreds of letters and eager women begin pouring in to town to vie for Jesse's affections, Jesse and Susannah start to rediscover their intense feelings for each other.
While they contemplate reuniting for keeps, they find themselves voyaging once again onto thin ice -- but their kids just might guide them in the right direction.
PERSONALLY YOURS was produced by Grossbart-Barnett Productions, in association with Bunim-Murray Productions. Jack Grossbart and Joan Barnett ("The Marriage Fool," "Any Mother's Son") are executive producers; Mary Ellis-Bunim and John Murray ("Real World," "Road Rules") are co-executive producers. Jeffrey Reiner ("Evolution's Child") is directing the film from a script by Jill Blotevogel.
