Cynthia Azevedo of Los Angeles, won a total of $1,089,017 in cash and prizes on THE PRICE IS RIGHT MILLION DOLLAR SPECTACULAR, hosted by Drew Carey, becoming the long-running game show's third million dollar winner during the broadcast on Friday, April 4. Adam Rose, of Los Osos, Calif., was the show's first million dollar winner on Feb. 22, and Michael Haynes, of Las Vegas, was the show's second million dollar winner on March 7.
During the primetime specials, one classic "Price is Right" game is revealed as the "Million Dollar Game" during which a contestant will have the chance to win one million dollars while playing that game. In addition, during the Showcase at the end of each show, if one contestant guesses the cost of the Showcase within $1,000 without going over, that contestant will win one million dollars, plus both Showcases. Azevedo played "The Clock Game," this special's Million Dollar Game, and guessed the prices of both prizes within ten seconds, winning one million dollars.
THE PRICE IS RIGHT, the longest-running game show in television history, is hosted by Drew Carey. In 2007, it won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show.
