CBS 11 NEWS ANCHOR ADRIENNE BANKERT TO GUEST CO-HOST ON “THE TALK,” WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5
Adrienne Bankert To Join “The Talk” Co-Hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood
Los Angeles – CBS 11 News This Morning anchor Adrienne Bankert will guest co-host on the Daytime Emmy-nominated talk show, THE TALK, Wednesday, June 5 (1:00-2:00 PM, CT), joining co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood at the table (co-host Sharon Osbourne will be away). Throughout the week, on-air talent from CBS stations and affiliates from around the country will be in Los Angeles to serve as guest co-hosts. This will be Bankert’s first appearance on THE TALK.CBS 11 News anchor Karen Borta appeared on the program in June 2011.

Friday, June 7: Pat Harvey, KCBS-TV, Los Angeles
Adrienne Bankert co-anchors CBS 11 News This Morning, weekdays from 4:30 AM to 7:00 AM. Bankert joined CBS 11 from KCRA-TV and sister station KQCA-TV in Sacramento, where she worked from 2004-12. For nearly six of those years, she was a morning and noon news anchor and hosted the monthly magazine program “Common Ground.” Prior to that, she was a reporter and traffic anchor for the stations.
A native of Northern California, Bankert holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Southern California. As a student there, she hosted talk shows for the university’s TV station, “Trojan Vision.” After graduating, she worked on a freelance basis in Los Angeles as a host and red carpet correspondent on a number of projects, including work with PBS and Disney.
Bankert supports many philanthropic efforts, including MDA’s “Fill the Boot” and the American Red Cross. She enjoys food and fitness, and in her spare time she enjoys cooking, painting and drawing.
CBS’s THE TALK, daytime’s fastest growing network talk show, was recently nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show-Entertainment. THE TALK features a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities who examine current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day. The daily one-hour series is co-hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood. The hosts swap stories, challenge each other on issues and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes. Show segments include guest interviews with entertainers and newsmakers, musical performances, how-to demos and appearances from extraordinary people with stories that engage and inform. The show was developed by Gilbert, who also serves as executive producer.
