Actress Poppy Montgomery, star of the CBS drama series “Unforgettable,” tells David Letterman that she is expecting her third child, a boy, when she visits the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN tonight, (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
“I’m expecting!” Montgomery told Letterman. “I’m far down the road of expecting.” “How close?” Letterman asked. “Well, I’m six months pregnant,” said Montgomery, “and I’ve been hiding it until this very moment. No, I’ve been filming my show, I’ve been doing all my stunts and running and leaping, but I haven’t told anybody because I didn’t want them to treat me differently, but I do. I want people to give me their seats. I want them to open doors.” “I think that’s right,” Letterman said. “I want to be a proud, pregnant action star,” Montgomery added. “You deserve everything that comes with motherhood, and God bless you, and this is number?” Letterman asked. “Three,” Montgomery replied, referring to her two other children, Jackson, age 6, and Violet, 14 months. “Number three, oh my goodness,” Letterman laughed. “…Do you have a team of high school kids who come in and help because this is crazy?” “It’s crazy, and I’m doing the show,” Montgomery said. “We’re still filming right now, so it’s pretty wild. They’re all going to be really surprised when they watch this show tonight. They’re going to feel bad for making me hang off that roof like I was about to drop.” “Don’t do that, for God’s sakes,” Letterman said. “…Now I’m done. I also – I also don’t think I can hide it much longer,” Montgomery said.
“…Do we know the gender here?” Letterman asked. “Well, I do,” Montgomery replied. “But you’re not telling people?” Letterman said. “No, no, you can guess and I’ll tell you if you’re right,” Montgomery laughed. “No, you know, I don’t know,” Letterman said. “You’ve got a 50/50 chance,” Montgomery said. “I understand that,” Letterman replied, “but I’ve been through this so many times and I’m never right, except – holy cow – with my own son, I knew from the beginning he was going to be a boy. I knew that long before they confirmed it.” “So I would follow that train of thought,” Montgomery said. “You’re going to have a boy,” Letterman replied. “I’m having a boy,” a smiling Montgomery confirmed, with Letterman and the audience applauding.
Montgomery’s entire interview can be seen on the LATE SHOW tonight. Her series, “Unforgettable,” is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Also visiting the LATE SHOW tonight are U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team captain Clint Dempsey and musical guests Sleeper Agent.
