Kat Coiro is a director, writer and producer. Her 2024 series “The Spiderwick Chronicles” was the most streamed show on The Roku Channel. Her first studio feature, “Marry Me” for Universal, opened in theaters at number one on Valentine’s Day 2022. She directed and executive produced Marvel’s “She-Hulk” and the pilot of Tina Fey’s “Girls5eva.” Coiro also directed many episodes of television including “Dead to Me,” “Shameless,” “Modern Family” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
In 2013, she wrote, produced and directed “And While We Were Here,” which she shot in Italy while she was eight months pregnant. The movie premiered in competition at the Tribeca Film Festival, where she now serves as a member of the film festival jury. Coiro has several feature projects in the works, including a buddy comedy with Glen Powell and Nick Jonas at Amazon. She works toward a sustainable future with the Habits of Waste, launching the #LightsCameraPlastic campaign, which aims to eradicate waste from the screens.
