Sue Seeary

Sue Seeary is one of Australia’s most highly regarded producers with over 30 years in the Australian film and television industry. She produced her first feature film, “The Crossing” starring Russell Crowe, in 1988.

 

Since then, she has produced an array of feature films, television dramas and documentaries, including the Academy Award-winning “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” (associate producer), “Heaven’s Breath,” “Worst Best Friends,” “Loot” and the Project Greenlight Australia feature film “Solo.”

 

Seeary co-produced the UK/Australia co-production “Tripping Over,” and produced Zapruder’s Other Films’ comedy-drama “30 Seconds,” the Playmaker/Hoodlum comedy-drama “SLiDE” and five series of the multi-award-winning “House Husbands” for Channel 9.

 

Since then, Seeary produced the first two seasons of the highly celebrated “Love Child” and executive produced the third and fourth. Her most recent productions include two seasons of Stan’s acclaimed supernatural series “Bloom” and the award-winning period drama “Ten Pound Poms” for the BBC, which received the Golden Nymph for Best Series at the 2023 Monte Carlo Television Festival, with lead actor Warren Brown receiving Best Actor.

 

Seeary spent seven years with the Film Finance Corporation, starting as the documentary investment manager before becoming head of the Melbourne office, overseeing the financing of documentary and drama projects.
