Todd Lasance has an extensive screen career, working on both film and television, nationally and internationally. Lasance’s recent credits include lead roles in the Paramount Pictures feature “Without Remorse” opposite Michael B. Jordan, “Seriously Red” with Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale, “True Spirit” opposite Anna Paquin and “Black Site” opposite Michelle Monaghan and Jason Clarke. Lasance’s international breakthrough came with the series lead of Julius Caesar in Starz Network’s “Spartacus: War of the Damned,” with his performance receiving a Saturn Best Supporting Actor Award nomination. His other U.S. credits include series regular roles on “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Flash,” both for The CW.
Lasance’s current Australian TV credits include lead roles in season two of “The Secret She Keeps” opposite Jessica De Gouw, and in “Darby & Joan” opposite Bryan Brown. Lasance’s other Australian lead role screen credits include the Nine Network’s “Bite Club” and the co-lead in Nine’s “Chopper: The Untold Story,” the mini-series “Anzac Girls,” Channel Ten miniseries “Brothers in Arm,” the Nine Network television movie “Underbelly: Tell Them Lucifer Was Here,” the NZTV television movie “How to Murder Your Wife,” and the ABC drama “Crownies,” for which Lasance reprised his character Ben McMahon in the third season of the TV spin-off “Janet King.”
Lasance’s critically acclaimed portrayal of Quick Lamb in the screen realization of Tim Winton’s award-winning novel cloudstreet for Australia’s Showtime channel earned him an AACTA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Drama. Lasance’s many guest roles include the series “Rescue Special Ops 3,” “McLeod’s Daughters,” “Blue Water High” and “Blackjack: Ghost.” Lasance was nominated for an Independent Film Out of the Box Award and received the TV Week Silver Logie for Most Popular Actor in a Television Series for his series regular role as Aden in the Seven Network’s “Home and Away.”
Lasance’s feature credits also include “The Divorce Party” opposite Claire Holt and Thomas Cocquerel, the lead role of Zach in “Terminus” for Shane Abbess’ Storm Entertainment and the feature “Fools Gold” starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. Lasance can be found on Instagram @toddjlasance.
