Jermaine Rivers joined the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in February 2025 as Damian Kane, a successful businessman and Nate Hasting’s (Sean Dominic) half-brother.

Jermaine Rivers is best known for his role as Shatter on the hit television series “The Gifted” – he recurred in 12 episodes and quickly became a fan favorite. Other television appearances include recurring roles on “MacGyver,” “Dynasty,” “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” and “Sweet Magnolias.”

Jermaine holds the distinction of being on the short list of actors who have been cast in roles in both the Marvel and DC cinematic universes. Over the course of his career Rivers has shared the screen with award-winning actors Al Pacino, Danny Glover, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina and Richard Dreyfuss. He recently cemented himself as a leading man after landing the romantic lead role opposite Vivica A. Fox in “Twisted House Sitter 2,” a Tubi original feature film that was released in July 2023.

Rivers is a retired U. S. Army veteran who served in combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
