JOHN NOGAWSKI NAMED PRESIDENT, CBS TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION

John Nogawski has been named President, CBS Television Distribution (CTD), it was announced today by Leslie Moonves, President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Corporation.

In his new position, which will report to Moonves, Nogawski will oversee all creative, business and administrative operations for CBS Corporation's domestic syndication company, taking the reins of a syndicated programming powerhouse that features eight of the top 10 rated series in syndication. These perennial leaders include "Wheel of Fortune," "Jeopardy!," "The Oprah Winfrey Show," "Entertainment Tonight," "Judge Judy," "Dr. Phil"  and the successful "Judge Joe Brown," "Inside Edition" and  "Rachael Ray." In the fall of 2008, the Company will launch a highly anticipated new "Dr. Phil" spin-off, "The Doctors."

Previously, Nogawski has been CTD's Co-President and Chief Operating Officer as of September 2006.  He had reported to the division's CEO Roger King, who passed away last December after a storied career in broadcasting.

At the same time, Moonves announced that Robert Madden, who has served in several high level positions at King World and CBS, has been named to the newly created position of Senior Executive Vice President, CBS Television Distribution.  In his new post, Madden will be responsible for overseeing the Company's programming partnerships with Sony Pictures Television for "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!," and with Harpo Productions for "The Oprah Winfrey Show," among other duties.  He will report to Nogawski.

"Less than two years ago, King World and Paramount combined under Roger King's great stewardship to form the pre-eminent distribution company in the business," said Moonves.  "We miss Roger every day, but we're fortunate to have first-class executives such as John and Bob to carry on that great tradition of leadership and success. John has a resume of success across all areas of syndication - first-run and off-network programming as well as both station and media sales. He has been instrumental in nurturing a path to syndication for our owned programming, and coming up with new, innovative revenue-generating opportunities through our program library, integrated marketing efforts and in the digital space."

Moonves continued: "For his part, Bob Madden is one of the most highly regarded executives in the business, with tremendous relationships across our industry. We look forward to the contributions he will make in his new role, and his continued leadership on the flagship programming of the King World legacy."

"I'm very honored to take the helm of this peerless organization," said Nogawski.  "Our success comes from the incredible team of executives we have formed over the years. I know this team, under the great CBS banner, will build on that success and capitalize on the many new opportunities for growth that lie ahead."

Since the CBS Paramount/King World consolidation, Nogawski has created new revenue generating platforms connected to the company's programming.  He established an integrated marketing unit that connected advertising brands to first-run productions; forged digital initiatives for first-run and off-network shows that led to partnerships with Yahoo, MSN and Procter & Gamble; and he introduced the division's first entry into online programming by distributing the web-based talent contest "Big Shot Live," partnering with ET affiliate websites around the country.

Before the King World/CBS Paramount consolidation, Nogawski had been President of CBS Paramount Domestic Television, responsible for the sales and marketing of the top two entertainment newsmagazines, "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider"; the top two court shows, "Judge Judy" and "Judge Joe Brown"; and off-network program launches for "Frasier," "NCIS" and "Medium."  He also spearheaded the digital re-mastering of the original "Star Trek" series, which returned to syndication in an HD format after a 16-year absence.
