‘JEOPARDY!’ BATTLE OF THE DECADES TOURNAMENT RETURNS WITH '90s WEEK COMPETITION MARCH 3-7



Event Celebrates JEOPARDY!’s 30th Anniversary

 

CULVER CITY, CALIF. – February 26, 2014 – The JEOPARDY!Battle of the Decades Tournament will return next week, with top players from the show’s second decade competing in '90s Week, airing March 3-7. The season-long event, which is part of JEOPARDY!’s 30th anniversary celebration, brings back champions from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s to vie for a million-dollar grand prize throughout several rounds of play.

 

“The group of contestants competing in '90s Week are some of the most memorable in our show’s history, including our winningest player ever, Brad Rutter, who has won over $3 million…so far,” said JEOPARDY! host Alex Trebek. “It’s a great mix of competitors, and our viewers at home can look forward to seeing some exciting and unexpected game play.”

 

'90s Week, the second of three preliminary rounds, features contestants from JEOPARDY!’s second decade (1994-2003) competing in five stand-alone games. Only the winner of each game will advance to the next round.

Preliminary rounds will continue March 31-April 4 with contestants from the third decade (2004-2013).
