September 12, 2014 (Los Angeles, CA) -  Actress and activist Robin Givens opened up to ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT’s Kevin Frazier about the viral video of her ex-husband heavyweight champion Mike Tyson’s expletive-filled rant towards Canadian television anchor, Nathan Downer, after Downer brought up Tyson’s sexual assault conviction, as well as, the suspension of NFL player Ray Rice following video tape surveillance footage being released of him physically abusing his then-fiancée, now wife, Janay Palmer Rice.  After viewing the video of Tyson’s outburst, Givens reveals that her heart began to race.  When asked by Frazier her opinion on Tyson’s career resurrection and public adoration Givens explains, “When you say people fall in love again well it is a convicted rapist…It does become difficult for sure for me.”  She continues on to say, “We're living in interesting times where we do have to be entertained and things can seem funny or entertaining…I think certain people shouldn't get a pass for what they've done.”

Givens goes on to discuss the video tape surveillance footage being released of Ray physically assaulting Janay saying, “What's important about this video is that people can't deny it. They can't say, ‘Well maybe it didn't happen. What did she do?...What did she say? Maybe she was drinking.’  We have to have this discussion because this can happen, it does happen, it happened to me and it happens to women quite a bit. And women die from this. So, we have to really begin to hold these actions and these men accountable.”
