New York, NY — January 5, 2015 — Inside Edition’s Steven Fabian exclusively speaks with Carolyn Dershowitz, the wife of high-profile lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who is speaking out against claims that Dershowitz had sex with Virginia Roberts when she was 17-years-old. Roberts, who is being identified as Jane Doe #3 in a Florida lawsuit, says she was forced to repeatedly have sex with Dershowitz, and Prince Andrew, among others, while she was a “sex slave” of financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Carolyn, who has been married to Dershowitz for 30 years, defends her husband and tells INSIDE EDITION that Roberts’ allegations could not be further from the truth.
Carolyn Dershowitz: “Anyone that knows us would find it laughable if it weren’t so serious. He is the least likely person in the entire world that this would be true of.”
In court papers, Roberts – as Jane Doe #3 – says she was “required…to have sexual relations with Dershowitz on numerous occasions while she was a minor, not only in Florida but also on private planes, in New York, New Mexico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.”
Steven Fabian: “Have you ever met this woman who is making these allegations?”
Carolyn Dershowitz: “She’s totally unfamiliar to me. I was on that island with Alan. Our daughter was there. Our friends met us for dinner. We were together the whole time.”
INSIDE EDITION also spoke with Alan Dershowitz, who is also blasting Roberts’ claims against him.
Alan Dershowitz: “She is a complete and total stranger who has made up a complete and total fabrication. She’s a serial liar, a pathological liar.”
Buckingham Palace is denying that Roberts was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew, calling the allegations “false and without any foundation.”
Virginia Roberts has responded that, “These types of vicious attacks on me are exactly the reason why sexual abuse victims typically remain silent and the reason why I did for a long time."
