ET FIRST | LESLEY STAHL AND STEVE KROFT ON THE WELL-BEING OF BOB SIMON’S DAUGHTER
February 12, 2015 (New York, NY) – ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT spoke to 60 Minutes reporters Lesley Stahl and Steve Kroft about the tragic death of CBS News legend Bob Simon. Stahl explains how worried she is regarding the well-being of Simon’s pregnant daughter Tanya Simon, a producer on 60 Minutes, stating, “You've never seen a father [and] daughter closer and I think it was a marvel to observe…She's pregnant and so I think a lot of us are a little worried about her…Everybody loves her too.”
Kroft goes on to say that Tanya received the news of her father passing at work stating, “In some ways it was great that she was here when she found out because there were a lot of people here and she was surrounded by friends. So, I think that she took it remarkably well…but I think that she was like in a state of shock…It takes time to process it and…I think she'll have some bad days.”
Bob’s final 60 Minutes segment on Ebola, which he worked on with Tanya, will air as planned on Sunday.
