New York, NY — April 26, 2017 – In an exclusive airing on Wednesday, INSIDE EDITION’s Jim Moret speaks with Lana Wood, former ‘Bond Girl’ and sister to Hollywood legend Natalie Wood, who reveals that she’s homeless at the age of 71.

The “Diamonds Are Forever” actress shows INSIDE EDITION around the tiny motel room outside of Los Angeles that she lives in with five family members, including three grandchildren, her daughter Evan, and two dogs.

She shares a bed with her 12-year-old grandson, her daughter and son-in-law have another bed, while her oldest grandson sleeps on a cot. Only water and a few snacks fit in their makeshift kitchen. Cooking is forbidden, so most meals are fast food. She returns to her old home occasionally to collect the mail. “It’s like a knife in the heart,” she says.

For seven years Lana lived in a rented home with her daughter and grandchildren. When they could no longer afford the rent, they had no choice but to move out. They had no one to take them in. “It’s like the rug has been pulled out from under you, and it’s just difficult to cope with,” Lana says.

Her financial crisis is made worse by her daughter’s mounting medical bills. Evan battled cancer and her radiation treatments permanently scarred her lungs. The only thing that keeps her breathing is a costly oxygen compressor, and she’s learned that her cancer has returned.

Lana, who struggles down the stairs of her motel, needs two knee replacement surgeries.

Over the years, Lana pressured Natalie’s husband Robert Wagner for answers about Natalie’s mysterious drowning death in 1981. She says her outspokenness put a wedge between Wagner and Natalie’s family, so she can’t turn to them for help.

When INSIDE EDITION asks what Natalie would do if she could see Lana today, she responds, “Oh she would be devastated. She would be devastated,” adding, “She’d fix it.”
