BROADCAST VETERAN MARY CALVI JOINS “INSIDE EDITION” AS ANCHOR OF “INSIDE EDITION WEEKEND”

New York, NY – June 30, 2020 – Mary Calvi will join INSIDE EDITION, America’s #1 rated syndicated newsmagazine, as weekend anchor and fill-in anchor for Deborah Norville.  

Calvi joins INSIDE EDITION from WCBS in New York, where she will continue to co-anchor CBS 2 News This Morning and CBS 2 News At Noon.

Calvi’s credits include 12 New York Emmy awards for her live breaking news coverage on a wide range of stories, including the Miracle on the Hudson, as well as in-depth series, one of which focused on protecting children from sex offenders. Her award-winning exclusive one-on-one interviews were conducted inside maximum security prisons. Her special events coverage earned praise, the most recent being “Tunnel to Towers.” During her career at CBS New York, she travelled to Israel, as well as Rome for live news coverage.

Earlier in her career, Calvi worked at News 12 Westchester, where she served as anchor and assistant news director; News 12 Long Island; and served as a national correspondent for USA Networks.

Calvi is also an author. Her bestselling debut novel, “Dear George, Dear Mary: A Novel of George Washington’s First Love” is a never-before-told story which she discovered through years of research. Profiled on “CBS Sunday Morning,” the book received high praise for its extensive use of documents, hidden away for centuries. 

Calvi will begin her duties as anchor of INSIDE EDITION WEEKEND on Saturday, July 4^th.
