BRITAINS PRIME MINISTER WORRIED ABOUT SUSAN BOYLES HEALTH

CALLS BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT JUDGE PIERS MORGAN AFTER BOYLE LOSES COMPETITION

To Be Broadcast: Monday, June 1, 2009

New York, NY - June 1, 2009 - Britain's Got Talent judges Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden speak with INSIDE EDITION about Susan Boyle, who is being treated for what has been described as an emotional breakdown.  Boyle was brought by ambulance to the Priory Clinic, a celebrity rehab and retreat in London, suffering from exhaustion.  Her health crisis comes in the aftermath of her defeat in the Britain's Got Talent finale.

Judge Piers Morgan tells INSIDE EDITION about receiving a phone call from Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who was alarmed by the news about Boyle's breakdown.

Morgan: "I talked with the Prime Minister last night, and he was very concerned about Susan.  He heard what happened and wanted to make sure she was ok."

Judge Amanda Holden tells INSIDE EDITION about the nerves Boyle endured leading up to the show's finale.

Holden: "She didn't sleep. She wasn't eating.  I saw her just before she went onstage, they were doing their rehearsals and I arrived... She told me she felt tired and sick with nerves, and she was worried she was going to be sick."

Morgan tells INSIDE EDITION about Boyle's treatment after being taken by ambulance to Priory.

Morgan: "Doctors were called in, they examined her, and they felt the best thing for her would be to go somewhere very quiet, very peaceful where she could get proper special attention.  She voluntarily went in."

Morgan also tells INSIDE EDITION that Boyle just needs to get some rest.

Morgan: "Susan's ok...She's just gone away for a few days to be protected, I think, from media attention and to get some much needed rest."
