New York, NY — April 22, 2015 – INSIDE EDITION’s Megan Alexander exclusively speaks with Michelle Rosenthal, Bruce Jenner’s high school sweetheart and prom date, who is speaking out for the first time about her relationship with Jenner.

ROSENTHAL: “We danced close, we did kiss. He seemed to enjoy it.”

Rosenthal tells INSIDE EDITION she never expected that her sweetheart would be coming out as transgender.

ROSENTHAL: “I would never have thought that in a million years, knowing him from high school. When it came out in the paper that he was thinking of this, I think everyone was really shocked.”

Watching Jenner on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Rosenthal says she noticed a difference in his personality.

ROSENTHAL: “The Bruce I remember was happy go lucky. Nice guy, friendly with everybody, popular. The few times I’ve seen him on the TV show, he just didn’t look happy.”

Rosenthal goes on to say that she wishes Jenner well in his journey.

ROSENTHAL: “I hope he figures out what it is that he would like in his life, and I hope he finds happiness.”
