JEOPARDY!’ ANNOUNCES SECOND CHANCE CONTESTANTS

 

FIRST POSTSEASON COMPETITION BEGINS MONDAY, DECEMBER 30

 

18 Contestants Will Return to Play in Two Week-Long Competitions

Two Winners Will Advance to Champions Wildcard

 

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (November 4, 2024) – On today’s episode of the “Inside Jeopardy!” podcast, JEOPARDY! announced the 18 contestants returning for this season’s Second Chance competition.JEOPARDY! Second Chance features select contestants who didn’t become JEOPARDY! champions in their initial appearances returning to the Alex Trebek Stage for the chance to change their destinies: The players who advance out of Second Chance will compete in the Champions Wildcard Competition for the opportunity to play in the 2025 Tournament of Champions.

 

Second Chance consists of two week-long competitions airing the weeks beginning Monday, Dec. 30, 2024 and Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. The field consists of contestants who competed since the last Tournament of Champions in March 2024.

 

The 18 players returning for this year’s Second Chance competition are as follows:

Sam Cameron, a finance manager from Fargo, N.D. 

Enzo Cunanan, a student from Orlando, Fla.

Lindsay Denninger, a writer from Smithtown, N.Y.

Mike Ferguson, a chemistry professor from Edmond, Okla.

Jonquil Garrick-Reynolds, a theatrical wardrobe technician from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Drew Goins, a journalist from Honolulu, Hawaii

Zoe Grobman, a therapist from Philadelphia, Pa.

Josh Heit, a government relations professional from Silver Spring, Md.

Colleen Matthews, a speech-language pathologist from Portland, Ore.

Alex Michev, an attorney from Richmond, Va.

Steve Miller, a retired medical transcriptionist from Eugene, Ore.

Gino Montoya, an attorney from Albuquerque, N.M.

Josh Moss, a new small business owner from Boston, Ma.

Ferdinand Percentie, a day trader from Altamonte Springs, Fla.

Tekla Sauter, a nonprofit strategist from Chicago, Ill.

Kaitlin Tarr, an aspiring ceramicist from Denver, Colo.

Scott Tcheng, an E.R. doctor from San Francisco, Calif.

Will Yancey, a lecturer of history from Banquette, Texas
