MAYIM BIALIK

Mayim Bialik is the host of both primetime and syndicated JEOPARDY!, for which she was nominated in 2023 for an Emmy for “Outstanding Host For A Game Show.” As an actor, she is best known for her award-winning role as Amy Farrah Fowler on the hit CBS comedy, The Big Bang Theory. During her nine-year run, she received two Critics Choice Awards, four Emmy Award nominations and a SAG Award nomination. Bialik is also beloved for playing the young version of Bette Midler’s character in Beaches and Blossom Russo in the iconic 90s sitcom Blossom. Bialik’s production company, Sad Clown Productions, produced the FOX comedy series Call Me Kat, which Bialik starred in from 2019-2022, which she produced alongside Jim Parsons’ company.

 

In 2020 she and her partner, Jonathan Cohen, launched a podcast on mental health and wellness, Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown, which has become a notable forum for both celebrities, scientists, and intellectuals. The podcast currently has nearly 21 million audio downloads and is consistently within the Top 20 in Health and Wellness. Bialik wrote and directed her first feature film, As They Made Us, starring Academy Award Winner Dustin Hoffman, Candice Bergman, Simon Helberg and Dianna Agron. The film was released theatrically in 2022 and received outstanding critical acclaim.

 

An acclaimed author, Bialik has written two #1 New York Times best sellers, “Girling Up: How to Be Strong,” “Smart and Spectacular,” and “Boying Up: How to Be Brave, Bold and Brilliant.” She has also written a parenting book, “Beyond the Sling,” and a cookbook, “Mayim’s Vegan Table.”

 

Bialik holds a BS in Neuroscience from UCLA with a minor in Hebrew & Jewish Studies and a PhD in Neuroscience, specializing in Psychoneuroendocrinology. Her thesis examined the role of oxytocin and vasopressin in obsessive-compulsive disorder in adolescents with Prader-Willi syndrome.

 

Bialik lives in Los Angeles with three cats and two teenage sons; all of whom seem to still like her.
