NEW YORK – Sept. 23, 2022 – 60 MINUTES, America’s #1 news program, is launching an exclusive channel on Pluto TV, the newest addition to the free streaming service’s 24/7 news offerings. The 60 MINUTES channel on Pluto TV will debut with more than 400 segments from the iconic newsmagazine’s archives and revisit some of the biggest newsmakers of the last five decades while offering the best original reporting on important historical news from the 60 MINUTES team.
At launch, episodes will span over a decade with the first batch dating from 2008 to 2019, with more seasons and segments being continually added. The roster of segments will range from the first interview with a retired Navy SEAL who was part of the team that carried out the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound; to reports on wild animals like jaguars, wolves in Yellowstone, elephants, eagles, bonobos, gorillas, dinosaurs and wooly mammoths; and the first interview with President-elect Trump after his election and a sit down with President-elect Obama.
The 60 MINUTES channel on Pluto TV will be led by veteran and award-winning producer Nicole Young, who has decades of experience covering wars, national and international tragedies and breaking news, and who will continue to serve as a producer for the venerable newsmagazine.
The launch of the 60 MINUTES streaming channel coincides with the 55th anniversary of when the broadcast began on CBS.
The channel will live in Pluto TV’s News and Opinion category and is available anywhere you stream – across all major mobile, CTV and web devices.
