CBS SERIES LEAD NIELSEN RANKINGS AMONG AFRICAN AMERICAN VIEWERS
THE EQUALIZER, EAST NEW YORK and FBI Are the Top Three Series;
Network Has Eight of the Top 10 Shows
Since the start of the 2022-2023 television season, CBS series have led broadcast viewership among African American audiences. THE EQUALIZER, starring Queen Latifah, is the most-watched show, followed by new drama EAST NEW YORK and crime-stopper series FBI. In all, eight of the top 10 series on broadcast television can be seen on CBS, watched live or streamed on Paramount+.
Among comedies, THE NEIGHBORHOOD with Cedric the Entertainer ranks first, followed by BOB HEARTS ABISHOLA.
Overall, 19 of the top 30 series among African American viewers are on CBS, including 60 MINUTES, FBI: MOST WANTED, FBI: INTERNATIONAL, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, S.W.A.T., BLUE BLOODS, NCIS, NCIS: HAWAI’I, the freshman drama FIRE COUNTRY and encores of FBI, THE NEIGHBORHOOD, FBI: MOST WANTED, BOB HEARTS ABISHOLA and FBI: INTERNATIONAL. Please note that this list includes encores of several CBS series in the top 30, and they beat the great majority of originals on competitive networks.
