ROGER M. KING

(Chief Executive Officer, CBS Enterprises and King World Productions, Inc.)

Roger M. King, recognized as one of the television distribution industry's most successful, groundbreaking executives, has served as Chief Executive Officer, CBS Enterprises and King World Productions, Inc., since January 2000. He assumed this position following the merger of his company, King World Productions, Inc., with CBS and the subsequent restructuring of the CBS Enterprises Division, which combined both organizations' global programming and distribution activities. King oversees all CBS Enterprises operations, as well as the sales activities of King World Productions, Inc., the domestic syndication arm.

King, whose previous careers have included newspaper sales representative, radio station manager, television series host and television station sales manager, was named Chairman of the Board of King World in 1977. The company was founded by his father, the late Charles King, in 1964. Under Roger King's guidance, King World became the preeminent distributor of first-run syndicated programming and has played a leadership role in the overall growth of the television syndication business. King and his company altered public viewing habits beyond network prime time and transformed first-run programming from a minor element in the syndication industry to a dominant product in key time periods, dramatically changing the way syndicated series were sold, marketed and promoted.

During his remarkable leadership, King has spearheaded the launch, sales and marketing efforts of such landmark programs as WHEEL OF FORTUNE and JEOPARDY!, the two highest-rated series in syndication, and daytime's #1 talk series, THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW. He launched INSIDE EDITION, the longest-running syndicated newsmagazine currently on-air and the #1-rated series in its genre, and he brought such personalities as Oprah Winfrey, Alex Trebek, Pat Sajak and Vanna White to national attention. In addition, he launched a new version of the hit classic game show HOLLYWOOD SQUARES. In September 2001, he brought to syndication the CBS primetime favorite EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, and in September 2002 he will launch the new, highly anticipated daily series, DR. PHIL.

King's achievements have been recognized with his induction into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame in 1992, an honorary degree from Emerson College in 1995 and a special tribute at the television industry's NATPE 2000 conference.

He works extensively with the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, the world's largest, most comprehensive research center dedicated to finding more effective treatments and a cure for spinal-cord-injury paralysis. He is also active with the Ronald McDonald House and the Make a Wish Foundation.

King has three daughters, Kellie, Anna Rose and Lucinda Monroe. He and his wife, Raemali, live in Boca Raton, Fla., and Bay Head, N.J.
