CBS AND DIC ENTERTAINMENT PRESENT "DINO SQUAD" AND "SUSHI PACK" ON THE SATURDAY MORNING CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMMING, "KEWLOPOLIS ON CBS"

New Action-Packed Animated Series Debuts Saturday, Nov. 3

Get ready to jump start your weekends as the all new animated series, "Dino Squad" and "Sushi Pack," join the Saturday morning children's educational and informational programming lineup, "KEWLopolis on CBS."  These new children's programs will make their television debut on Saturday, Nov. 3 on the CBS Television Network (Times might differ market-to-market.  Check local listings.)  "Dino Squad," the animated series from DIC Entertainment, consists of 13 30-minute episodes and is targeted towards girls and boys ages 9-11.  "Sushi Pack," the animated series from American Greetings Properties, in a co-production partnership with DIC Entertainment, consists of 26 11-minute episodes and is also targeted towards girls and boys ages 9-11.

"Dino Squad" features five quirky teens who suddenly gain the power to transform into dinosaurs.  Their science teacher, the mysterious Ms. Moynihan, guides them as they learn to work together and use their unique abilities to protect Earth from an anthropomorphic Velociraptor who is creating mutant-saurs and accelerating global warming in his quest to bring back the Age of the Dinosaurs.

In addition to featuring action and adventure, the series provides pro-social messaging for kids on various topics, including online safety, dealing with bullies, the importance of telling the truth, being responsible, thinking of others and other excellent role model behavior.  "Dino Squad" also features environmental information woven into the storylines that addresses global warming, herbicides, the delicate balance of nature, eco-friendly, fuel-efficient and emissions-free vehicles (like their own "Dino Cycle"), clean oceans, anti-litter and recycling.

An interactive FCC-compliant website for boys, http://www.dinosquad.com/, will launch in conjunction with the series.  The site will include compelling features such as customized dino avatars, multi-player games, show information and environmental/educational content.

"Sushi Pack" follows five crime-fighting pieces of sushi that protect Wharf City from over-the-top diabolical villains.  The humor-filled, action-packed television treatment for "Sushi Pack" was written by animation legends Tom Ruegger and Nicholas Hollander, the Emmy Award-winning writers/producers behind such hits as "Animaniacs," "Tiny Toon Adventures" and "Pinky and the Brain."  British-born Rick Adams, otherwise known as DJ Rick, and best known for his hosting positions on CBS' "Dance Revolution" and AOL.com, voices the character Tako.

Though action-packed and humor-filled, the content of each "Sushi Pack" episode includes an educational or "pro-social" message created in consultation with a renowned child development expert.  In each episode, pro-social messaging contributes to an episodic story arc concerning one or more of the "Sushi Pack" members.  Educational/pro-social messages include building teamwork, cooperation, conflict resolution and good nutrition, among others.

"Sushi Pack," along with DIC Entertainment's "Dino Squad," joins a lineup of children's educational and informational programming on CBS' newly launched "KEWLopolis on CBS" line up that includes "Care Bears: Adventures in Care-A-Lot" and "Strawberry Shortcake" from American Greetings Properties, and "Cake" and "Horseland" from DIC Entertainment.
