CBS News is announcing today additional coverage plans for Hurricane Irma ahead of expected landfall Sunday with a wide-ranging team of journalists reporting in the field; expanded coverage on all broadcasts and platforms; and continuous CBS News Special Reports on the CBS Television Network and CBSN, CBS News’ 24/7 live, streaming news service.

CBS News’ comprehensive coverage plans include:

• On Sunday, Sept. 10, as Hurricane Irma is expected to make landfall in Florida, CBS News will air special live coverage all day beginning at 6:00 AM, ET, anchored by Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell. They will also anchor a live, special edition of CBS THIS MORNING (7:00-9:00 AM) on Sunday. This special broadcast will be followed by CBS SUNDAY MORNING (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) and FACE THE NATION (check local listings) with extensive reporting on the impact of Hurricane Irma. Jeff Glor in Miami and Anthony Mason in New York will then co-anchor a CBS News Special Report (11:30 AM-12:00 PM, ET) followed by an extended CBS News Special Report later that day (5:00-6:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.

• CBS News will provide continuous storm updates and CBS News Special Reports throughout the day and night on Saturday, Sept. 9 and Sunday, Sept. 10 co-anchored by Glor in Miami and Mason.

• Additionally, Glor and Mason will lead CBS News’ coverage tonight, Sept. 8 on the CBS EVENING NEWS (6:30-7:00 PM, ET) and tomorrow on CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY (check local listings). Glor will also anchor the CBS WEEKEND NEWS (check local listings) on Saturday and Sunday from Miami.

• Tonight’s CBS EVENING NEWS will feature reporting from BBC News correspondent Laura Bicker, who is reporting from Barbuda after Hurricane Irma left behind widespread devastation. BBC News, CBS News’ editorial partner, says Bicker is the first journalist to reach Barbuda since Irma made landfall.
