CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION” IS #1 IN VIEWERS ON SUNDAY, MAY 9—ITS 21ST WEEK IN THE TOP SPOT THIS SEASON

FACE THE NATION Remains the Season’s Most-Watched Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program


 

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION was the #1 show in total viewers on Sunday, May 9, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION earned 2.9 million viewers and delivered 472,000 viewers in adults 25-54—the demographic most important to those who advertise in news.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION remains the most-watched Sunday morning public affairs program, showing more growth in total viewers than its closest competitor, NBC. This Sunday was FACE THE NATION’s 21st week at the #1 rank this season among total viewers. Compared to last week, FACE THE NATION saw a +5% lift in total viewers.

Sunday’s FACE THE NATION broadcast featured John Dickerson’s interviews with former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis President & CEO Neel Kashkari, Rep.
