60 MINUTES scored its highest Nielsen metered market rating in almost a decade last night(16) and will almost surely be Nielsen's number-one program for the week for the second consecutive week when final national numbers are released tomorrow (18). The broadcast featured the first post-election interview of the President Elect and the First Lady elect. Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, spoke to Steve Kroft last Friday in Chicago.

Anderson Cooper, anchor of CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360û," will contribute as many as five reports a year to CBS News' 60 MINUTES, television's number one news program,. The appointment is effective at the start of the 2006-07 television season.
