CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR OVERFLOWS WITH “LUCAS OIL CHALLENGE CUP” RACING ON SATURDAY, JAN. 7

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR features the LUCAS OIL CHALLENGE CUP off road racing on Saturday, Jan. 7 (1:00-2:00 PM; taped 12/11/11) showcasing some of the most chaotic racing action ever televised. Class-on-Class racing pairs ProLite vs. ProBuggy as a field of 26 vehicles, made up of 13 trucks and 13 buggies, race 19 laps on the same track trying to claim the $20,000 winner’s purse.  The culminating event of the Lucas Oil Off Road Series – PRO-2 vs. PRO-4 – is the biggest race of Off Road Short Course Racing.  The controlled chaos of 15 PRO-2 trucks versus 10 PRO-4 trucks battle it out for off road racing’s richest purse of $30,000 going to the winner.  Ken Stout, Cameron Steele, Jeremy McGrath, Rob Klepper and Kelli Snyder call the action for CBS Sports.  CBS Sports’ Ryan Galvin serves as coordinating producer.
