Steve Milton has worked the Masters and the PGA Championship in various capacities since 1987 and assumed the lead director position in 1997. He joined CBS Sports in 1981 and became a broadcast associate in 1986.
Milton took over as lead director for the Network’s coverage of college football in 2003. His list of credits as a broadcast associate, associate director and director include Super Bowl LIII, Super Bowl 50, Super Bowl XXI, XXIV, XLI, XLIV and XLVII, the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, THE NFL TODAY, college football studio show and 1992 World Series.
Milton produced the Closing Ceremony and alpine skiing events at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games. He also directed ski jumping and nordic combined at the 1994 Olympic Winter Games for the Network. Milton also served as director for THE NFL ON CBS before taking over the lead college football role.
An 11-time Emmy Award-winner, Milton also has produced the opening sequences for the 1993 NCAA Division I Men's Final Four broadcasts and the 1992 Winter Olympics broadcasts. Milton graduated in 1981 from Colorado State University with a degree in Economics.
Born May 20, 1959, in Queens, N.Y., Milton lives with his wife, Wendy, in Gloucester, Mass.
