- Jim Rikhoff
Jim Rikhoff was named lead game producer of THE NFL ON CBS in April 2017 and produces CBS Sports’ marquee games on Sundays. He joins director Mike Arnold on the lead production team, working with the lead NFL ON CBS announce team of Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson. He has produced Super Bowl LV (2021) and Super Bowl LIII (2019). Rikhoff produced the CBS Television Network’s Thursday Night Football package for one season (2017).
Rikhoff joined CBS Sports in 1985 and has since worked on every major event at the Network. He began producing NFL games in 1998 when CBS re-acquired the NFL broadcast rights and produced NFL games with the announce team of Greg Gumbel, Trent Green and Jamie Erdahl. In addition, for three seasons (2014-16) he served as replay producer for Thursday Night Football, and served as replay director for the Network’s coverage of Super Bowl XLI, XLIV, XLVII and Super Bowl 50.
A 12-time Emmy Award-winner, he joined CBS Sports as a researcher and was promoted to broadcast associate in 1986 and then associate director in 1990. In 1991, Rikhoff assumed a full-time role as associate producer/director for CBS’s golf coverage. He also has served as videotape producer for the Network’s golf coverage including the Masters and PGA Championship. Rikhoff covered the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship since 1987. His credits include associate director of THE NFL TODAY (1990-93), the Daytona 500, Major League Baseball and the U.S. Open Tennis Championships. Rikhoff also served as an associate producer (1992, 1994) and producer (1998) for the Network’s coverage of the Olympic Winter Games in Albertville, France, Lillehammer, Norway and Nagano, Japan, respectively.
Born November 1, 1961, in Princeton, N.J., Rikhoff graduated from Washington & Lee University in 1985. He lives in Washington, Conn., with his son, Kellen, and daughter, Avery.
