Former NFL quarterback Trent Green joined CBS Sports as a game analyst for the CBS Television Network’s coverage of THE NFL ON CBS in April 2014.

This year, Green again teams with Kevin Harlan and Melanie Collins, and also continues to contribute across multiple CBS Sports platforms including CBS Sports Network’s show, NFL MONDAY QB, and Sunday pre-game show, THAT OTHER PREGAME SHOW (TOPS).

In 2009, after a career in which he quarterbacked for the San Diego Chargers (1993-94), Washington Redskins (1995-98), St. Louis Rams (1999-2000, 2008), Kansas City Chiefs (2001-06) and Miami Dolphins (2007), Green began his broadcast career working as an NFL analyst on regional games on Fox for one season, as well as a studio analyst for the NFL Network’s show, NFL Total Access. He also worked on Thursday Night Football NFL radio broadcasts on Westwood One Radio Sports, as well as Kansas City Chiefs preseason broadcasts.

Green’s playing career was highlighted by his contributions to his hometown Rams’ victory in Super Bowl XXXIV over the Tennessee Titans, and with the Chiefs when he became only the fourth quarterback, at the time, to throw for more than 4,000 yards in three consecutive seasons (Dan Fouts, Peyton Manning and Dan Marino). Also during his time in Kansas City, Green twice led the Chiefs into the playoffs and played in two Pro Bowls. He finished his career passing for 28,475 yards and 162 touchdowns, while compiling a quarterback rating of 86.0.

Upon graduating from Indiana University with a business degree, Green was drafted in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. Born July 9, 1970 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Green grew up in St. Louis, Mo. Green and his wife, Julie, have three children and reside in the greater Kansas City area.
