"THE NFL TODAY" ON CBS

THE NFL TODAY, the CBS Television Network's National Football League pre-game studio show, is the prototype for all NFL studio shows that followed.  In its previous format, a half-hour pre-game, halftime and post-game program, the show originated in the 1975 NFL season.  The first show as THE NFL TODAY, a 15-minute regional broadcast, aired on September 13, 1964.
