Brandon Baylor joined CBS Sports in 2019 and co-anchors CBS Sports HQ’s weekday studio show MORNING BUZZ and serves as a sideline reporter for CBS Sports Network’s college football and basketball coverage.
As a graduate of Temple University with a broadcast journalism degree, he began his career with internships at WCAU in Philadelphia and also held posts with the Philadelphia Eagles Television Network, Comcast Sports Network in Washington D.C. and The Sports Network in Hatboro, Pennsylvania.
Upon graduation, he accepted a position with NBC News 2 in Charleston, South Carolina, where he acted as both the station’s sports director and a host/reporter. While in Charleston, Brandon covered some of the state’s most memorable sports moments, such as Clemson’s national championship win and South Carolina’s Final Four run. From there, he joined WFTS, the ABC affiliate in Tampa, covering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Lightning and Rays while also reporting human-interest stories and longform pieces.
As a finalist for Best Sports Anchor in Charleston, he has been recognized not only for his on-air work, but also as a community leader and for his philanthropy work.
An avid sports fan and college athlete, Brandon has been lucky enough to combine his passion and knowledge for sports into a journalism career. He resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he enjoys working out, playing golf and being outdoors.
