Jim Spanarkel joined CBS Sports in 1998, and he currently serves as an analyst for CBS Sports’ regular season college basketball coverage and the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. He was a three-time Emmy Award winner during his 30 years as a Nets analyst on the YES Network.

Spanarkel played college basketball at Duke, served as captain of the Blue Devils' 1978 Final Four team and is a member of the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame. He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 16th overall pick in the 1979 NBA draft and played professionally for five seasons.
