Diane Farr is a dramatic and comedic actress, writer and producer. She stars in FIRE COUNTRY and was most recently seen on “Splitting Up Together” alongside Jenna Fischer and two seasons of “Chance” opposite Hugh Laurie.
Additional television credits include “Rescue Me” as firefighter Laura Miles and Showtime’s “Californication” as Jill Robinson.
Farr’s film credits include “Twelve Feet Deep” and “Palm Swings.” She was nominated for four awards for the series “Thumbrunner,” including best actress at the New York Film Awards.
Currently, Farr is showrunning the American adaptation of the award-winning French TV series “Mytho” directed by Catherine Hardwicke. She also has an an original drama in development with David Shore’s company at Sony.
Farr has sold seven series to cable and network television – several based on her own books. Her first book, The Girl Code, was a national bestseller and was translated into seven languages. She wrote it while co-hosting MTV’s “Loveline” with Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew. Her second book, Kissing Outside the Lines, details her own and five other interracial marriages in America. Farr also took over Dave Barry’s Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper column, penning a humorous comment on pop culture and politics every month in 300 English language newspapers around the world for over a decade.
In addition, Farr produced a documentary, “Children of God: Lost and Found,” chronicling the lives of children who escaped an apocalyptic cult.
