- NCIS: HAWAIʹI kicked off its second season production on the sound stages in Oahu with a traditional Hawaiian blessing in honor of its host Hawaiian culture, which was held in line with the series’ overall filming covid safety protocols. Series stars Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Jason Antoon, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Tori Anderson and Kian Talan, as well as the producers and the NCIS: HAWAIʹI crew, participated. Kahu (Officiant) Kordell Kekoa officiated the ceremony, which included traditional royal maile leis, Oli Aloha (welcoming chant), and Pule Ho’oku’u (closing prayer). In honor of the show’s second season, the ceremony centered around “hana hou,” which translates to “work new” and “do it again!” NCIS: HAWAI’I was the #1 new drama for the 2021-2022 season and has amassed over 11 billion potential social media impressions during its freshman season. The second season of NCIS: HAWAI’I premieres Monday, Sept. 19 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
