Raised in Wheaton, Ill., Jan Nash began her career as an investment banker on Wall Street. Later, she received an MBA from Stanford and then became a marketing executive, a strategic planner and a development executive.

None of these careers involved actual writing, but they gave Nash much fodder for the stories she has told in hundreds of episodes of television, including NCIS: NEW ORLEANS and WITHOUT A TRACE, both on the Network, “Ellen,” “Rizzoli & Isles” and “Black Lightning.” In addition, she is the author of a young adult novel, River of Dreams, which also has nothing to do with investment banking, strategic planning or development.
