"Mothers of the Disappeared" -- Nick represents a mother who wants to have her daughter, who disappeared eight years earlier, declared legally dead, however, the girl suddenly reappears, on THE GUARDIAN, Tuesday, March 26 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Steve Robman directed the episode, which was written by David Hollander, one of the series' executive producers, and Michael R. Perry.

Kathy Baker ("Picket Fences") guest stars as the mother.

It is after a police notice becomes public that the girl suddenly appears. However, Nick is suspicious that she is only faking her identity to get the daughter's $95,000 trust.

Meanwhile, when the case of a mentally ill child sparks a cause that needs their attention, Alvin and Laurie bond in quite an unexpected manner. Also, a friend of Burton's who was a federal judge passes away and Burton questions his professional future.
