Executive Vice President, Operations and Engineering

Patty Power was named Executive Vice President, Operations and Engineering in April 2016. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of Operations and Engineering including production management, technical management, network operations, commercial operations, post production and media services for all CBS Sports platforms across broadcast, cable and digital.

 

She also is responsible for the technical production of all CBS Sports remotes including Super Bowl LVIII, LV and LIII, the AFC Championship Game, NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and Final Four, the Masters, UEFA, PGA Championship, college football and thousands of hours of studio and original programming annually across CBS, CBS Sports Network, CBS Sports HQ and CBS Sports Golazo, as well as overseeing and facilitating all major operations-related deals.

 

Most recently, Power led CBS Sports and Paramount’s operational and technical efforts for the first-ever Super Bowl in Las Vegas. The operation included multiple broadcast locations at Allegiant Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday, along with multiple-platform weeklong programming originating from the Bellagio Hotel for various Paramount Divisions including CBS Sports, CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures.

 

Under Power's leadership, CBS Sports continues to drive groundbreaking workflows and technical innovations across the industry. Amongst the first to return to live sports during the pandemic to overseeing the first ever Super Bowl simulcast on Nickelodeon, her team have always been on the forefront of trend setting productions. During her tenure, Power’s team has received 3 technical team awards, including the win for Outstanding Technical Team Event for Super Bowl LVIII in 2024, marking her sixth Emmy win. Super Bowl LV also won the coveted award for our extensive health and safety protocols. Power also collected the technical team Emmy featuring Tiger Woods return to glory in Augusta and the George Wensel technical achievement award for “Every Shot, Every Hole”.  

 

Power, an industry veteran and executive with wide-ranging knowledge of sports television start-ups, has extensive experience in operations, production planning and administration, and was integral to CBS Sports Network’s growth and success since its inception.  She helped launch the independent Network (then CSTV), which debuted in April 2003 and was acquired by CBS in January 2006.

Power, who served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Administration for CBS Sports Network, previously was at Major League Baseball Productions, where she was Vice President of Operations.  In that role, she managed the day-to-day operations of the production unit, served as the operations liaison with all 30 MLB teams, managed the footage and licensing department and oversaw the build out of MLB Production’s 25,000 square-foot, multi-level production facility in Chelsea Market in New York City.

 

Power is an Executive Board Member of Sports Video Group. She graduated from Farmingdale State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. Power currently resides in New York City with her husband and son.
